According to Bloomberg NEF, electric vehicles or “EVs” are positioned to dominate as a global vehicle and bus sales by 2040, worldwide. Seeking and studying solutions that allow drivers to recharge their electric vehicles, CLEMAR Engenharia and Voltbras Eletropostos developed a Totem EV Charge Device, made for EVs – Electric Vehicles charging in public places and parking lots.
The device’s prototype was exhibited at Exposuper, Brazilian’s major trade show fair in the supermarket sector, which took place last June. An paradigm shift that is taking place, or the fact that cars cannot be fueled only at the conventional gas stations, but also in places like shopping malls, supermarkets, workplaces, condominiums, your home, etc.
The same Totem was also responsible for charging electric vehicles during the 4th edition of the Electric Mobility Week, organized by the UFSC’s Ampera Racing Team, (University of Santa Catarina), and also focusing in the debate on the several alternatives such as the growth of domestic sustainable vehicle fleet.
Voltbras is the first Brazilian electric vehicle recharge flag and will be responsible for some of the thousands of recharge points for passenger’s travel in the next coming years.
